Description

This is a two panel mosaic image. It shows a wide field of the region around LBN 632 and LDN 1333. The open cluster Berkeley 8 is also in this field.  This open cluster, as well as LBN 634  and LDN 1333 are the only objects in this 3+ degree wide field  with a major catalog designation. There are multiple dark structures in this field with a significant number from the TGU and PGCC catalogs.  Also, even though there is a broad obstruction of Milky Way interstellar material, some background galaxies shine through the dust.  These objects and some of the brighter stars are identified in the annotated image.

Title: Uncropped Mosaic Image

Description: This is a down sampled image of the un-cropped mosaic. In SGP, the framing wizard was set for two panels side by side (east to west) - camera rotated 90 degrees. The panels appear rotated. This is because of the proximity of the pole (at image location of 75 deg DEC).

Plate solved camera pointing (in SGP) each at 90 degrees does not take into account field rotation caused by a fixed 90 orientation this close to the pole.
