Description

Spent a few nights on this, interrupted by many instances of rainy weather.  I'm realizing that organization is extremely important on multi-night projects.  Duh.
Keeping track of rotations, proper flats, etc. is key.  This is a combination of RGB and HSO data.

I've always been fascinated with this object.  There are some amazing photos herre on Astrobin. One in particular shows the evolution and motion of the nebula over many years.
And the Hubble data is amazing: https://science.nasa.gov/mission/hubble/science/explore-the-night-sky/hubble-messier-catalog/messier-1/

6,500 light-years from Earth in the constellation Taurus.  Supernova remnant. yada yada.
