Description

I have observed this object twice. The first observation was on 21 September 2014 at the Okie-Tex Star Party using a 12” Skywatcher Dobsonian: Large bright core with good size halo.

The second observation was on 27 September 2016 at the Okie-Tex Star Party using a 12” Skywatcher Dobsonian: This globular cluster is bright and very concentrated. I spotted it immediately at 63x. At 150x it continued to be bright and compact. Pretty good for an observation slightly before astronomical twilight.

I obtained the calibrated lights frames used to create the final image from Telescope Live. The frames were imaged by the CHI-1-CMOS Telescope at the El Sauce Observatory in Chile.
