Description

Location: Rooisand Desert Ranch, Chausib, Namibia
I call it early morning Milky Way Arch of the Southern Sky. After the Milky Way Core leaves its overhead position in the middle of the night our galaxy sets down in the west making a pretty nice shaped arch with a brightest spot of the core on the upper part. Since it was just one hour remaining till the morning twilight, I had to photograph this scene quickly. I should admit for me it was the most difficult position of the Milky Way that I have ever photographed and post processed especially by doing panorama. Strong morning wind brought even more complexity to the whole process. But I’m really happy to see the result.
