Description

SH2-129 is a pretty and famous target - however, the OIII represents quite some challenge - it is very dim. It took me 6 nights for OIII only to get to that visibility - not at all perfect, but visible. The other wavelengths are easy - RGB with deep-color filteres from Astronomik und Ha with special filter for RASA work. Some Pixelmath in PixInsight, some Photoshop editing and here is the result.

Once the moon is almost gone, I most likely shall acquire more OIII date for a better definition... maybe :-)

The acquisition was done between June 11 and July 3 - one night RGB, two nights Ha and 6 nights OIII

Title: SH2-129 in RGB-Ha_OIII

Description: In addition to the previous one, I added three nights of gathering photons in OIII to make the squidd more visible and clearer. I think I achieved the target.... for this year, that´s it for me for that not very easy target. In total, I have processed 1027x120" OIII subs plus 480x120" Ha plus about 1 1/2 hours each for R.G und B.
Processing separately all channels in PixInsight, optimization in Photoshop and recombination in PixInsight.
