These two nebulas belong to my favorites, and I already imaged both a couple of times with different scopes. This time, I wanted to bring them both into one frame. Since I idid not want to do a mosaic, I reduced the focal length. IC 1805 alone is four times bigger than full moon, adding IC 1848 calls for a really wide fl. My widest Scope is 350mm. So I switched to one of my Nikon lenses…Well, in „normal“photography, 200 mm is not really wide, au contraire… Since I am happy to own the beautiful 200mm Nikkor Micro lens, I just paired it with my ASI 2600MCPro - and it turned out to be a perfect match. Few (until no) chromatic aberration - this lens is pretty good for astrophotography…I shot some 20 frames RGB and added many narrowband frames I took with the Altair Triband filter (200 s & 300s). I might redo that attempt with the Antlia 5nm Dual Band filter and give it more exposure time. But anyway - those two DSO together look spectacular.Developed with PixInsight and very slight tweaks with Photoshop.

Submitted The date and time when you submitted this image for IOTD/TP consideration.	...
Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
