Description

Below is my first Astro sketch that I made while actually viewing the object through my scope!

I’ve learned that sketching is quite hard but probably the most fun I’ve had in this hobby in quite some time (not including outreach, that’s the best!)

The object is the crater Tycho. It’s 86km wide and approximately 108 million years old. It is one of the Moons’ brightest craters. It is a staggering 15,300 ft deep! It is named after named after Danish Astronomer Tycho Brahe.

Details: TMB130SS telescope employing around 271x magnification. Drawn on 50lb paper with graphite pencils.

Enjoy!
