Description

This image is the sum of 404 60 secs unguided subs taken during the night of th the 10th may 2022 from my home terrace. imaging train wa Newton 250 F 3.9 Orion USA scope, QHY268M camera, Primalucelab UHC filter, on top of an Ioptron CEM60EC. Aquisition and stacking with Astroart. Minimal processing with Astroart. Only gradient removal and a some istogram stretch. This is the first image where I have been able to correctly use the "autoflat" function implemented in my script. Now the scope, when the sun is below the horizon (-6 Alt), stop tracking, goes on the zero position, calculate flat with a sample exposure, takes 8 flats and then wait for me to park the scope, take the mini pc in the house and close the tent.
Unfortunatelly this time I cannot provide the color image as I forgot to check focus on the C5 put on top of the newton. Resulted image was not workable, Moreover this is firt time for me to image this nice edge on galaxy in Draco.

NGC 4244, also known as Caldwell 26, is an edge-on loose spiral galaxy in the constellation Canes Venatici, and is part of the M94 Group or Canes Venatici I Group, a galaxy group relatively close to the Local Group containing the Milky Way. In the sky, it is located near the yellow naked-eye star, Beta Canum Venaticorum, but also near the barred spiral galaxy NGC 4151 and irregular galaxy NGC 4214.

With an apparent V-band magnitude of 10.18,NGC 4244 lies approximately 4.3 megaparsecs (14 million light years) away. A nuclear star cluster and halo is located near the centre of this galaxy.(Wikipedia)
