Another couple of Sharpless objects off the very long list....!
The FOV seemed like a good idea at the time but there's so much Ha and background gas that getting the background to look anything other than a total bloodbath has taken ages - and it still looks seriously red! I don't want to clip it too much, otherwise what was the point in taking the time to collect all the Ha data?
In my professional field there's a saying that 'an analysis is never finished - just abandoned' when the return on effort becomes too much. I think I've reached that point for the time being and don't fancy starting from scratch yet again....
Drizzling was giving me some odd artefacts so I ended up not using it - not so good for the stars but needs must.
One to revisit at some point me-thinks....
