Description

NGC 1499 or the California Nebula lies about 1,500 light years away from us in the constellation of Perseus. It is a hydrogen-rich emission nebula 100 light years in length.

Managed to get a few hours in amid the terrible weather we've been having in the UK. First light for my NBZ dual-narrowband filter...think it did pretty well for the limited integration time. Alas, my haste to capture any sort of data meant that I didn't manage to perfect my backspacing as I had planned, so star shapes could be better.

Thanks for looking!
