Description

Very happy to be back after several months of absence with this magnificent capture of NGC 7822, made over nearly a week non-stop, with my brand new setup.
This is an image in SHO (Sulfur 2, Hydrogen Alpha, and Oxygen3), totaling 19H20 of exposure, over the 25H of shooting. The calculation is simple : More than 5 hours of photos were thrown away to keep only the best ! I recreated a processing luminance layer with the other layers.
I couldn't take many shots in OIII because of too much moon. I made the decision not to redo a session for this layer. The result in OIII is nevertheless correct.
Thanks to "Gaëtan Maxant" for participating in this project, allowing me to benefit from a great exposure at his home, while controlling my setup remotely for almost a week.
Thanks also to my "Team Stellae Orientis Astrophotographie" of which I am a part, for their valuable feedback as well as to the other astram and astromate.
I hope you enjoy this lovely color palette, mixed with the dark structures of this beautiful star-making active area.

Some info on this nebula :
NGC 7822 is a nebula located approximately 3,000 light-years from Earth in the constellation Cepheus. Spanning a few dozen light-years, the region includes the astronomical objects Sharpless 171 and the young star cluster Berkeley 59.
The nebula is also home to one of the hottest stars near the Sun, BD+66 1673, a binary system including O5V with a surface temperature of about 45,000 kelvins and a luminosity of about 100 000 times those of the Sun.
