Description

This image was captured over two nights in April 2023 with an ASI2600mm Pro through a Celestron 8" EdgeHD on an EQ6-R Pro using APT.

The image comprises:

L:      126 x 60s
R:        30 x 60s
G:        30 x 60s
B:        30 x 60s

Total integration time was a mere three hours and 36 minutes. The image was processed in Pixinsight and tweaked in Photoshop.

I had always wanted to try these galaxies back in New York, but my neighbors' tall trees prevented a good view of Corvus. Not a problem out here in Arizona.

This spring's weather was not conducive to amassing a lot of integration time, so I captured what I could with the clear nights I had to work with (so many galaxies, so little time!). I will return next spring for more exposure time.

Despite the short integration time, I am relatively pleased with the final image.
