Description

The G34.3 region is a gas cloud located in the constellation, Aquila.  It was first discovered in 1995 by British astronomers and is approximately 10,000 light years away.  The cloud contains unprecedented levels of ethyl alcohol and other hydroxyls made up of Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen.  G34.3 has a diameter 1,000 times larger than our own solar system, and at its center is a star that is yet to mature.   This may be the first colorized, LumRed+HaGreenBlue+OIII, Image of the region.  The first hints of the nebula are located in the center.
