Description

On Sunday January 19th the skies here in Macclesfield, were for once, very clear. This was good news because I was really itching to get out and under the stars imaging again.

I have a CCD camera, now. It is an old but hardly used MX916 from Starlight Xpress. I also have a 7nm Baader Ha filter which I also wanted to try. On Sunday evening I was able to use the CCD and filter with my C9.25.

Guiding was done using PHD and my QHY5 through a 9x50 finder. The stars are suffering a little with flexure. This is because of the weight from my camera communication lead. I will sort that problem out on the next outing.

Here is the result. 10x10 min subs with 10x10 min darks. Stacked in AA5 and post processed in CS2
