Description

Actually I just went there to take some spectra of Wolf Rayet stars. That's why I only had the 5" Baby Newtonian with me. After setting it up, I looked at Jupiter and was surprised by a great seeing. I was annoyed for a moment that I didn't have the big scope with me, but then I thought, try it with the little one. Lo and behold, the dwarf can do planetary imaging too (at least a little bit), seeing is everything.
Jupiter with the moons Europa, Ganymede and Io from left to right. At the upper edge of the picture slightly left, I also teased out Saturn's Titan. Mars is still very small, but you can already see a few details, that's just coming. It was a wonderful late summer night. Warm, windless, dry and loud crickets chirping.😀
Tried AstroSurface for stacking and editing for the first time and so far I like it, all in one and for free.
