Description

M92 is the lesser of two spectacular globular clusters in Hercules, but no less beautiful than its companion M13. This densely packed sphere of 300,000 stars orbits the hub of the the Milky Way at 26,000 light-years. Globular clusters are strange objects nearly 14 billion years old, yet astronomers know relatively little about their origins. I photographed M92 object from our yard on April 14-15 amid the late-night companionship of owls.
