Description

Taken with BYE: 1-15 sec exp, ISO 800, stack of 300 frames. Eratosthenes was very close to the terminator line when I took these frames.

It's interesting to notice the difference between exposure/ISO settings for BYE videos made with Live View (like this one) and the settings when using the built-in 640x480 Movie Crop Mode of the T2i camera. BYE Live View exposure is "simulated". Movie Crop Mode exposure is actual time.

So, for images created with BYE, I will note the frame capture rate for FPS in the AstroBin Tech Card. BYE can get about 30 FPS with the T2i camera. In the Description, I will note the BYE "exposure" setting.

I also shot a video of this same area with Movie Crop Mode - settings were 1/60 sec, 800 ISO and the final image was much brighter - but only 640 x 480 pixels in size. For large areas, I like the BYE approach better.
