Description

Having imaged this emission nebula in Cepheus using our wider FOV rig comprising FSQ106/QSI683, Steve and I wanted to concentrate on the central area.  We have gathered a lot of data and it has helped with this deep study.  I particularly like the stream of OIII, resembling a searchlight beam in my imagination, and the characters revealed in the dark molecular cloud.  Is that a leaping dog I see . . .

Description: Blue colour mask with protection for stars if used after Ha has been combined as luminance layer. The stars within the white mask areas are first isolated from a stars mask by using PixelMath (Blue Mask*Stars Mask) and then the resultant image is subtracted from the Blue Mask
