Description

Sorry, indeed, buddies, for ignoring your great images for a while.
Have been away for a quick heart surgery (ablation), unfortunately with a side effect (hematoma). It will take a while to heal, but it couldn't stop me from finally testing my new 2.5x PowerMate, in spite of turbulent, but largely transparent air.

The images are taken with a hair dryer, an ASI290MM, Baader UV/IR-cut CMOS and a 2.5x Powermate scratching at the limits of what an 8-inch SCT can resolve. All images 5ms, gain 220~240, 170fps, mono8, 10-bit ADC.

Turmoil air made things worse but the Powermate is a great performer. Better seeing and steady air may provide some improvement in spite of physical limitations - you never can tell.
