Description

Here is my First Attempt in SHO... :-)

About M27:------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

M27 is a planetary nebula. This means that it has finished consuming all of its hydrogen, then its helium... As a result, its heart collapses to form a white dwarf, while the outer layers are expelled as gas by the radiation pressure.
These then form a cloud of matter that expands at high speed and ionizes under the action of ultraviolet radiation emitted by the dying star. The gas cloud is very bright because the large amount of energy provided by the UV rays of the white dwarf is re-emitted in the form of light rays visible in infrared.
