Description

IC443, aka the Jellyfish Nebula, is the turbulent remains of a supernova explosion that occurred an estimated 30,000 years ago.

Even today, you can sense the roiling cloud that emanated from an explosion of almost unimaginable force.

The object is difficult to capture and even more challenging to process. Amid these dark darks of winter, I'm glad the clouds parted long enough to photograph it.
