Description

The iconic Horsehead Nebula shot on two separate nights with a bright moon certainly hindering the contrast on both nights. This is a 2 hour and 45 minute total exposure captured with 8 and 16 second sub exposures using an Apertura 6" f4 imaging Newtonian, a Starizona Nexus .75 focal reducer/coma corrector, bringing my focal ratio down to an incredible f3, an uncooled ZWO 224MC camera, and a Celestron AVX mount. The image was live stacked in Sharpcap Pro and the individual stacked were then combined in Deep Sky Stacker. Final processing was accomplished in Photoshop CS5. No autoguiding was used in this image. I hope that you like it!
