Description

The Pelican Nebula is situated about 1,800 light years from Earth and is about 30 light years wide. It is found near the star Deneb in the Cygnus constellation. The dust cloud which separates it from the North America Nebula is called L935.

This was taken during the UK summer, meaning it was in astronomical twilight. I tried to compensate for this with integration time, but did not notice my spacing was slightly off after having fiddled with my imaging train, leading to misshapen stars in the corners. I like the nebulosity in the image, however.

Thanks for looking!
