Description

This object, also known as LDN 497, is a dark nebula located in the constellation of Scutum at a declination of -7 degrees. The nebula spans 18 arc-minutes in our apparent view. The small round dark blob to the upper left is LDN 495 while the one to the upper right is LDN 498. Like most dark nebula, I could find no interesting information on this object.
