Description

NGC 6888 is an emission nebula located in the constellation Cygnus.  The nebula is created by a Wolf-Rayet star located in the center of the crescent, which is near the end of it’s life and is ejecting mass in the form of stellar winds.  Image taken over three nights from my Bortle 6 backyard with a 60mm refractor, 533mc camera and L-eXtreme filter.  I combined 70 x 300” and 75 x 180” exposures in Astro Pixel Processor by extracting/integrating hydrogen alpha and Oiii separately and then combined the two stacks in tools.
