Description

The Heart Nebula is an emission nebula, 7.500 light years away from Earth and located in the Perseus Arm of the Galaxy in the constellation Cassiopeia. The Hubble Space Telescope is capable of imaging in very narrow wavelengths of light using various filters (Hubble Palette). This enables astrophotography to reveal details of objects in space that the human eye cannot easily see, if at all.
