Description

NGC 5905 is a Spiral Galaxy approximately 3.5 arcmin wide located in the Draco constellation.   I had attempted this target previously with my 8" newtonian, but at my image scale it was pretty much never happening.    We've finally been getting reasonable guiding on the Ritchie Telescope, despite still having a little bit of declination backlash in the gears.  This 400 pound telescope still needs alot of work!   With patience and practice, I'm finally getting some acceptable data.    The mirrors still show their optical issues, and you will notice that in the stars, but these are huge strides over the inital datasets that we had coming in.    Background extraction without acceptable flats is also something I'm struggling with, but I think I managed a decent product here.   Let me know what you guys think.
