Description

IC1396 is a young star cluster and a large emission nebula complex in the constellation Cepheus. The Elephant Trunk Nebula also lies in these complex. It is a condensation of dense gas, compressed by the surrounding ionized gas, which is barely surviving the strong ionizing radiation from a nearby massive star.

I start at the early hours of the night, when moon it had not yet risen too much. The weather forecasts were not too good, due to the presence of high clouds, but still I was able to get 4 hours of average the first night and 2 the last, which while I was doing the calibration shots it started to rain.

I had pending this object from the previous year because the framing I did was not at all right.
