Description

Within the beautiful constellation of Scorpius, lies the star Antares and its surrounding Rho Ophiuchi Molecular Cloud Complex including the globular star cluster, Messier 4 or M4. The complex forms a fascinating and intriguing structure with all the dust clouds and other gases and star clusters. Its one of the closest star forming regions at 460 light years away from us.

A future part of the astrophotography project would be to make a stitched mosaic of the nearby regions including the Blue Horsehead Nebula region.
