I thought this might interest people. I have just completed an image of the Pelican Nebula with my NP101is and Tirus SX-814. I posted this a couple of days ago on Astrobin (it's been nominated as a top pic whoo!). I have always wanted to undertake wider-field images and finally pushed the boat out and bought an ASI 6200 MM Pro, along with a large field corrector and adaptors, both TV and bespoke from Precision Parts, Televue don't make it easy to connect to their 2.4 inch imaging system. Last night was first light for the ASI and I am amazed by what I can see. I often see widefield images with the ASI6200, but I didn't appreciate the scale of these images until I did it myself

To provide context the image posted shows both my recent SHO image taken with my SX-814 and 6hrs of Ha obtained with with the ASI6200. The images were aligned using Pixinsight. The pixels size of these cameras are almost identical, so its the same image scale. I feel that I have been looking at the universe through a mouse hole until now. I love my SX-814 and there are still objects that suit it, but to be able to grab images on my new scale is amazing. I still have to sort out aberrations in my corner stars, both back focus and tilt issues I think, but I was very impressed.

Submitted The date and time when you submitted this image for IOTD/TP consideration.	...
Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
