Hi Star Friends,

My star friend, Otto had given me some tutoring in APP. The processing of the data is also a bit nicer than with only line traces. I had made 2 series with 96 and 112 shots each. The result comes from the second series with a slightly shifted field of view.
I went back to astrophotography with little effort. The mount was still in the garden. I was able to use the last alignment via the Hiberate setting in the mount.
The comet was quickly found again manually. He was right between Mars and Capella, near the star Hassaleh in Auriga. This time "no" high clouds. Unfortunately, the clear nights are over now. The encounter with Mars on February 10th and 11th is canceled for me.

Hallo Sternfreundinnen und -freunde,

Mein Sternfreund, Otto hatte mir etwas Nachhilfe in APP gegeben. Die Verarbeitung der Daten geht auch noch etwas schöner als mit nur Strichspuren. Ich hatte 2 Serien mit jeweils 96 und 112 Aufnahmen gemacht. Das Ergebnis stammt aus der zweiten Serie mit etwas verschobenen Bildfeld.
Ich betrieb wieder Astrofotografie mit wenig Aufwand. Die Montierung stand noch im Garten. Über die Einstellung Hiberate in der Montierung konnte ich das letzte Alignment nutzen.
Manuell war der Komet wieder schnell gefunden. Er befand sich genau zwischen Mars und Kapella, nahe dem Stern Hassaleh in Auriga. Diesmal "keine" hohen Wolken. Leider ist es jetzt mit den klaren Nächten erstmal vorbei. Die Begegnung mit Mars am 10. und 11. Februar fällt dann für mich aus.
