Description

Can't get any lower than this to the South from my backyard, 20 degrees at meridian. Darkness is in short supply this tie of year but pop the reducer on there and some narrow-band on an object I've never imaged before seemed appropriate.

The horrendous weather in mainland Europe is partly due to the high pressure that's sat over the UK and given us very un-UK like conditions. Imaging 4 nights in a row is really unusual and the forecast looks like more may be possible as the high pressure doesn't look as though it's going anywhere for a while. Hope all are doing OK with their current conditions.

A couple of rather serious spinal problems make setting up my full rig less than straightforward at the moment as I shouldn't carry anything too heavy prior to surgeries. However a forecast for a few clear nights in a row has proven too tempting to resist! I've taken steps to lessen the load on my spine and additional workarounds are in progress.....

Title: SHO with HSO stars - reprocessed from scratch in Pixinsight with NSG and x2 drizzle

Description: Yet another image in my gallery that kept bugging me to fix it every time I saw it! The choice to drizzle this one is a bit debateable as there weren't enough subs in each channel to do a good job. It might be one reason why there is a subtle patterning in the background. It's not perfect buy way better than the last version so I'm not complaining. I also gave the color-corrected HDRMT script a try to help tame the brightest bit in the nebula - seemed to do the job.
