Description

NGC 2903 is a **barred spiral galaxy** in the constellation of Leo, about **30 million light-years** away from us¹³. It was discovered by **William Herschel** in 1784¹. It has a strong **starburst region** in its core, where new stars are forming at a high rate¹. It is also a member of the **Virgo Supercluster**, a large group of galaxies that includes our own Milky Way¹.
