Description

The Crescent Nebula (NGC 6888) is 5000 light years from Earth and is 25 light years across.  The blue green oxygen layer enshrouds the underlying hydrogen alpha layer that is illuminated by the WR-136 Wolf-Rayet star at the center.

Who knew you could pull out so much detail with just 60mm (2.36 inches) of aperture?
