Description

This is a detail of the 'head' of the Lion Nebula (Sharpless 132) - an emission nebula approximately 10,000 light years away in the constellation of Cepheus.

This was photographed between 16 June and 28 August 2021.  

Capture details are as follows:

Telescope: TEC 140 ED
Camera: QSI 690
Filters: Astrodon
Mount: 10 Micron GM 2000HPS

SII: 38 x 1200s
Ha: 27 x 1200s
OIII: 28 x 1200s

A total of 31 hours exposure.
