Description

Here is my first image fully processed in PixInsight – Really happy with how it came out and how I’m learning to use the tool.  That being said, I would appreciate any advice and suggestions for improvements.Picture Details:  Bubble Nebula surrounded by a few other objectsBubble Nebula (NGC 7635) – New General Classification (NGC) 7635 is an Hydrogen region emission nebula in the constellation Cassiopeia.  The "bubble" is created by the stellar wind from a massive hot, 8.7 magnitude young central star, SAO 20575.  The nebula is near a giant molecular cloud which contains the expansion of the bubble nebula while itself being excited by the hot central star, causing it to glow.  The bubble nebula is 7 light years across, and is located ~7100 light years from the Earth.Cassiopeia Salt and Pepper Cluster (M52/ NGC 7654) – Messier 52 (M52) is a bright open cluster located in the northern constellation Cassiopeia. The cluster has an apparent magnitude of 6.9 and lies at an approximate distance of 4,600 light years from Earth.   Messier 52 contains 193 probable members and occupies an area just less than half of the size of the full moon.  The cluster is estimated to be 35 million years old.Northern Lagoon Nebula (NGC 7538) - NGC 7538, is located in the constellation Cepheus and is located about 9,100 light-years from Earth. It is home to the biggest yet discovered protostar which is about 300 times the size of our Solar SystemEmission Nebula (SH2-159) – Small emission nebula.  Both SH2-159 and NGC-7538 are part of the larger 595  thousand solar mass dust cloud – UUT2000 Cloud GMy setup:Mount: EQ6R-ProTelescope: Williams Optics 81 mm Zenithstar doubletZWO-ASI224MC color camera for guiding with the Zenithstar guideHotech Corporation 2” Field FlattenerZWO ASI2600MC Pro; Camera cooled to -10 deg C, with ZWO Duo-Band Narrowband Light Pollution Reduction FilterBortle-9 – South Los Angeles shot from my backyardIntegration Time: 2 Hours 3 Minutes; Lights (41 @ 180 seconds); Darks (30 @ 180 seconds); Flats (30); Bias (30)Image Processing: PixinsightUsing lessons from multiple great resources from Youtube:  Mitch and his 12 part Pixinsight series/workflow (https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6_eBQy3QM7xISY4Gdz-MmH4rA_1WAG2d) and Late Night Astronomy (https://youtu.be/CZSVCNX8Ow8).  Additionally, I used some help hints from Chaotic Nebula and his workflow (Chaotic Nebula - Your guide to astrophotography)
