Description

This is a relatively straightforward image of the lunar south pole that I obtained in the morning of Sept. 6th, when the moon was almost directly overhead. Clavius crater is centered in this view along with Moretus further in the background. I took some images with a 2x Barlow, but ultimately this wider shot at the native C11 focal length ended up being sharper. Given the small pixel size of my camera (2.4 microns), it could be that I was a bit over-sampled for the seeing conditions when using the Barlow.
