Description

This image has been taken during the night of 7th May 2020 and 23rd of April 2021. It's a very unlike image. It has been taken during 2 difficult nights. Heavy wind, for the night of 2020 and power problems for the night of 2021. Both nights gave many defects to this image that I have tried to remove, without success, during post processing.
I have uploaded this image because I belive that sometime is good to show also not nice images. I am doing imaging since many years and several times resulting images were not so nice and full of defects. I think that this is an opportunity to learn new post processing tecniques.

This is the reason why sometime I make FITS file available to everybody.
Please feel free to download file and process.
Version A is an example of 2020 image, version B is an example of 2021 image, version C is resulting image after stacking and version D is my processed one.

Imaging train was Newton 250 F3.9 Orion USA telescope, QHY183 camera on top of an Ioptron CEM60 EC.

Messier 61 (also known as M61 or NGC 4303) is an intermediate barred spiral galaxy in the Virgo Cluster of galaxies. It was first discovered by Barnaba Oriani on May 5, 1779, six days before Charles Messier discovered the same galaxy. Messier had observed it on the same night as Oriani but had mistaken it for a comet. Its distance has been estimated to be 45.61 million light years from the Milky Way Galaxy. (Wikipedia)
