Imatge de gran camp en RGB de la zona de monoceros, obtinguda amb càmera DSLR modificada i antic objectiu de format mig Pentax 67 300 ED IF.
És una zona amb molts contrastos, molt fotografiada en època nadalenca en incloure el famós arbre de Nadal, amb molta nebulositat en Ha però també amb cúmuls i nebuloses de reflexió. Destaca també especialment a la part inferior la nebulosa IC447, de reflexió però també envoltada de pols interestel·lar i nebuloses fosques. A l'esquerre també es pot apreciar IC448, que no acostuma a ser massa fotografiada.
La imatge és pura RGB, sense cap mena de filtre addicional durant les captures.

Wide-field RGB image of the Monoceros region, captured with a modified DSLR camera and an old Pentax 67 300 ED IF medium format lens.
It's an area with many contrasts, widely photographed during the Christmas season due to the inclusion of the famous Christmas tree. There is a lot of Ha nebulosity, along with clusters and reflection nebulae. Particularly striking in the lower part is the IC447 reflection nebula, surrounded by interstellar dust and dark nebulae. On the left, you can also appreciate IC448, which is not usually photographed much.
The image is pure RGB, without any additional filters during the captures.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
