Description

Composite time-lapse of the April 8, 2024, total solar eclipse from Dallas.  Each image was taken 2 minutes apart with a stationary camera.  Dallas was partly cloudy that day as you can see in various images, especially with the “gaps.”  The solar filter was removed during totality, see the center two images which show the corona (left) and the C3 diamond ring washout (right).  One will notice that the path in this picture is slightly arched upwards, the zenith is towards the top, I was expecting it to be arched downwards.  My guess is this a lensing effect since the sun/moon were taken in the top third of the frame. Sony A6000, 100,000 ND filter, FE 20mm F1.8 G, ISO 100, f/11, and 1/4000 sec each, lightroom & photoshop, and Topaz DeNoise AI,  ~87 images
