Description

Sh2-129 and OU4 or "The Flying Bat and the Blue Squid"  are a fascinating object and there are many great images of it here on AB. However, as it turns out, it is not that straight forward to process when shot with an OSC and a dual narrowband filter.  I had been struggling quite a bit at the beginning as it is not sufficient to just use the green channel as a proxy for OIII.  Luckily I got great help in this forum discussion . Thanks again to all that contributed.
So this is the version I ended up with,  pushing the limits of my processing abilities.
While it is a substantial amount of data, a lot has been shot in suboptimal conditions with moon or around the summer solstice, so unfortunately only a small portion is of good quality. I will try to add more data in the future, ideally some of it shot with a single line OIII filter to circumvent some of the processing issues.
