Description

Animation of 43 WinJ composites, each 24 minutes in duration.

Nearly 1.5 hours of Saturn's rotation showing disturbances in the South Tropical Zone (STrZ) and the South Temperate Belt (STeB). They appear lighter than the surrounding teal-coloured belt, probably a result of more sunlight reaching this area due to narrower ring tilt. The STrZ one is centered around 13 degrees of Longitude based on System I (crosses the meridian at 18:20 UTC in this clip). Northern latitudes appear reasonably quiet, Ring B shows interesting detail on the eastern side of Saturn.

Icy moon Rhea is also seen looping behind the planet from east to west.
