Description

I was able to do some imaging in the first clear weekend of what feels like months of June Gloom here by the coast.  The sky was bright with a lot of moisture in the air and reflected city and moon light.  I used an L-eNhanse to cut it down and it worked pretty well.  Sky conditions like this made guiding hard.  I set it up to autorun most of my shots, took a nap, and got back up at 4:00am to take Flats and had a terrific viewing session of the planets.  Steady clear skies early in the morning allowed me to see a lot of detail in Jupiter (3 dark storms, GRS, and a moon transit shadow across GRS), Saturn (4 moons!, colored banding, and Cassini Div), and Mars (crescent, polar ice, and subtle surface color detail), Venus (My eyes are burning!)  Perfect night...I was taking photos again, viewing planets, and having a good time.  The results are better than my first attempt you can see elsewhere in my gallery, and that is tangible progress.
