Description

Popularly known as Hubbles's Variable Nebula, this object is known to be a combination emission and reflection nebula. It is beng illuminated by the very young binary star R-Monocerotis, whose apparent magnitude varies between 10 and 12 along the time. This leads to subtle changes in the appearance of this nebula over time spans of years.
