Description

I debated gearing up with dedicated solar gear but decided I was mainly just interested so I could get decent images of the upcoming eclipses. Thought maybe I could use what I already own. Captured this image using my current gear using a Baader ASSF 130 filter on my Astro-Tech AT130EDT plus my Canon R6. Set my ZWO AM5 to something close to polar alignment, let my AISAir turn it to where it thought the sun was (pretty close!). Tweaked it to center frame and set the AM5 to solar tracking speed, unguided. Seemed like a nice, solid track.
Captured on the Canon EOS R6, CR3 files using High Speed Continuous with Electronic Shutter, about 500 files. ISO100, 1/1250 sec.
Directly from SD card, cropped in Adobe Bridge and saved as TIFs. Stacked in AutoStakkert using best 10%. Sharpened in Registax 6.
In Photoshop I applied a warming filter (81) with 95% density for yellow color.

No solar purist is going to get very excited about this but I think it will do for my purposes.
