Description

Was this weekend for the first time at my new observation site in Hinterwildalpen, which is one of the darkest places in Europe. Bortle 2 is really fun, I've never seen the Milky Way so bright here. I mainly used the short night for observing and saw many galaxies and star clusters, including the supernova in M101.

In order not to come home completely empty-handed, I still imaged M12 towards the end, already in the twilight. And at the very end at about 3:15 a.m. the first Saturn of this year, with quite good seeing at about 25° altitude. I really like the current ring tilt. You can see the shadows of the rings on the planet below, it looks very plastic.

Here's Saturn, the moons Rhea, Tethys and Dione are also in it.
