Description

Cosmic Bubbles : Heckathorn-Fesen-Gull 1 - HFG1 & Abell 6Located in Cassiopeia,  probably one of the dimmest nebulae I've imaged.
Overall, some 40 hours of  data was used, a lot of subs were removed due to low SNR. HFG1 is a planetary nebula in Cassiopeia.  The estimated 10,000 year old nebula has a very dim blue-green leading bow shock with a tail on the opposing side. The smaller Abell 6 is another dim planetary nebula. It consists of more Oiii than H-alpha, hence the prominent bluish white color.
The Telescope:
The faster optical setup of the CDK14 at f/4.7 and the 3nm narrowband filters were useful to increase the FOV and increase the image brightness that helped overcome noise. I would have preferred more Oiii data but the number of clear nights are very limited now.

Shown here is Ha-OO mapped to RGB with a slightly modified expression:

R: Ha
G: ((Oiii*Ha)^~(Oiii*Ha))*Ha + ~((Oiii*Ha)^~(Oiii*Ha))*Oiii
B: Oiii
