Description

I have been making changes at my home observatory to try and make best use of the clear skies as and when they happen.

First is the successful implementation of an automatically opening (and closing!) roof and as a result I have been able to collect more data. Secondly, I have two mounts, each of which has a multiple scope system; one an identical dual 1200mm rig and the other a quad 400-600mm rig.

Both systems have been a significant pita to get balanced, aligned and especially communicating with each other and the roof and the brains of all this is Voyager Array working alongside AMS in the background. After some protracted health issues, I chose some well known DSOs and this is the first true image from the 1200 system though i also pointed the widefield rig at the same object.

Between the two scopes, this is 136 x 180" Ha, 99 x 300" O111 and 83 x 300" S11. I mixed the different channels between the two scopes and because they are identical systems, integration was very easy and much of the noise disappeared.
