Description

This is a center crop of an LRGB image I took with the TOA 130 and STT-8300. This is one of my favorite targets I have named the Balrog, as its wider field profile reminds me of the mythical Tolkien beast. Conditions were bad, as is evident from the chromatic noise visible in the low signal areas. This frequently happens to my images when conditions are not very good. But I rather like the higher signal areas of the image. This is another one I am looking forward to imaging with the C11Edge under good seeing conditions. Another thing that I feel does not help the image is the lack of blue subs--the RGB count is out of balance. I find when the number of RGB subs is close to being the same, processing is much easier. Unfortunately I only have the JPEG image to work with, as the original data was lost when my storage drive broke. So--not the most polished image, but I find it inspiring and it makes me want to try again. In my next attempt I hope to reveal more details through a sharper composition
