Description

Continuing on collecting more PN to my list, this is the NGC40. I started with shooting Ha with moon up and then got some OIII when moon started to wane.  My hope is to collect as many PNs imaged as I can. The QHY294/RCOS FOV is nice for small targets.  This is very interesting to shoot in NB, the Ha has bilobed structure and it shows some jets pushing material out on each end . The OIII on the other hand is a sphere.  Ha completely overwhelms OIII (With Ha OIIII mix or in RGB, there is no blues seen other than in some bits and pieces). The core is very bright and in RGB, the central dwarf show up nicely in blue.

There is also SNR remnants (CTA1) in the field and almost feels like there is some overlap between the fields. In other images, I have seen Blue/Red in SNR but my OIII  (Shot it only night to get the image done) is too weak to bring out any blues in SNR field. I picked RGB for the star field and merged it in. The RGB looks great by itself (The Ha does show a bit more of the surrounding dust than RGB).

I lked the way my friend @James described it as a "smoking PN".. and it looks like it is so hot that you can see it smouldering
